Remora Pro Hang On Skimmer Question
We have a 46 gallon saltwater tank and have had pretty good success balancing the water. We use an Enheim Pro II Filter and have introduced three fish (Blue tang, Dot-Dash Butterfly and a Mertensii Butterfly)over the past 2 months. At the recommendation of many, I installed a Remora Pro Hang-on Skimmer this afternoon. We noticed right away that a great many micro-bubbles were going back into my tank (user manual indicated this could happen for up to 2 weeks). After about 10 minutes, my Mertensii Butterfly started swimming around in a panic (almost like she could not breath). For the moment, I have shut down the skimmer in hopes to get some guidance from this group. Any thoughts?

Re: Remora Pro Hang On Skimmer Question
The skimmer will not hurt your fish. If it looks like they can't breathe, check your ammonia/nitrite/nitrate and your kH. Those fish need a lot of live rock to survive, & if they cannot hide they will get stressed.
