connecting different tubing together
I have some very flexible 1/8" OD tubing that goes to a peristaltic pump that I need to connect to some 1/4" OD water line. The 1/8" will fit tightly inside of the 1/4" but under pressure this fit doesn't mean much. Does anyone have any ideas how to go about connecting them? I've looked around for an hour and can't seem to find the proper equipment.

Re: connecting different tubing together
Is the tubing "stretchy" enough to fit over some rigid 1/4" tubing? Then you could attach both to the tubing, and secure with a zip tie.

No I don't believe that it is. Don suggested going to an auto parts store so I'll give that a try tomorrow.

Re: connecting different tubing together
You could use a John Guest adapter. Make sure that each end is the appropriate size to accept the two different diameters of tubing. Just shove them in and they're connected.

Re: connecting different tubing together
If you can show me a John Guest adaptor that goes from 1/8" OD to 1/4" OD or even reducers to somehow get me there in two pieces I'll take em.

Re: connecting different tubing together
I went to three auto parts stores today, also Lowes, Ace and Home Depot and no one around here has anything similar. Do you have a part number on that Don?

Re: connecting different tubing together
No I just buy them bulk and or in small assortments. Schucks and autozone carry a product line named Help. There will be and assortment pack.
Schucks even carries dayco. While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at PartsAmerica.com |
