Beckie, Acrylic is easier to repair then glass, but there are qualifiers. How old is the tank?
Oh, I am going to move this to a sub forum where it should get more attention too.
I a 125 gl plex/acrilac that the bottom seam has separated! What is the chance I can sucsessfully repair it? It came with a oak stand & hood. I have always loved looking at reef tanks & would really like to try my luck at it. Any comments welcome

Mike is right...there are definately qualifiers.
I would like to see pictures of the tank/seam, acrylic seams are generally hard to seperate if they where put together correctly. Is the tank leaking? If your clearance is minimal and no major gaps are needing to be filled then some weldon 3 with a needle applicator should do the trick....but still I would like to see pictures of the tank first before I made suggestions

How much would a new one cost??
Been awhile I know. Hubby is the camera compter guy & been really busy. No picks.
After reading, reading,reading.... looking into repair, repacement cost ($1000) I will attemt a repair soon. My thought is being new to salt and in need of a science degree to take in info! If I can learn and stay in the hobby I can replace the tank later if needed. Not sure of the tank age. Rest of tank looks new. No crazing, clear no air bubbels. Now looking into the size of the sump. 36x15x18 tall. I beleive its called a druro standpipe in the tank. Sound big enough

I believe you mean durso standpipe
If the seam is a hairline seam then you can probably get away with the weldon 3 and needle applicator (the consistency of this "glue-like" product is like water) if the seam is a bigger gap that needs sealing then you may want to get a small tube (i think its like 4-8oz) of weldon 16 which its consistency is more like pancake syrup.
