Sorry to hear about your thumb.
Hope you didn't get blood all over the project or your table saw. Non professionally working cars and PT home remodel/construction for years, I have had my share of accidents as well, and I hope everyone uses safety gear and take good care while doing any project.

OUCH! That's gonna leave a mark! I almost took my forefinger off when I was young w/ a saw. Since then, I have a whole lotta respect for powered sawblades.

Well I never got it with a saw (yet) but I sure put a 2" brad through my thumb a few months ago. I was building a door and the nail shot out the side (for whatever reason) and straight through my thumb.
These tools pose all types of hazards so care must be taken. Also keep a first aid kit around. ![]() Scott |

My father's Law partner has cut off three of his fingers (all of them reattached, one of them twice) in two separate accidents. His wife took his power tool priveliges away several years ago. To the point that I bought him a High-speed BUFFER to wax his car with and had to keep it a secret.
