    Replacement Fans

I got 2 replacement fans for my lighting, but the power connectors aren't the right type. It is a 3 pin, not a 2 pin like I need.

My question, is can I cut off the connector and use the red+black wires and exclude the yellow? I have searched for 2 pin fans, but cannot find any online.

    Here's my fan specs:
    60mm computer case fan
    12v dc
    3 pin connector
    Red, Black, & Yellow wires

Any help from experienced electricians/DIYrs appreciated! At least while I wait for the manufacturer to reply back.

    Re: Replacement Fans

Yes you can just use the black and red wire for power. The yellow wire is for speed control.
