    Re: DIY OverFlow Pipe

    Hi

At the moment I am using a MaxiJet 1000. But it cant really keep up with the OverFlow Pipe. So with 22mm Pipe I think it should be good for about 1200 to 1500 lph. Much more if you use a bigger bore pipe.

My return pump is/will be a mag 7 at a 3 foot head, giving me 500 gph/1900 +/- lph, any idea what size bore pipe would handle that???
    Tanks,

    Re: DIY OverFlow Pipe

I'm not sure what size pipe you are using over there in America. But over here in the U.K the next step up from 22mm would be 32mm bore. That should work fine for you. But if your pump is to powerful you could always split the flow off using a T-Piece and a Tap

    Re: DIY OverFlow Pipe

Hey do you Have a drawing of this overflow im interested in downsizing the pipe diameter for use in a 30 gallon tank. I can see in the vid the basic consept but i dident know if some of the pipes had to be shorter that the rest or if the whole setup is pretty much the same length. could u restrict the flow down to say 350gph with a shutoff valve or something?
