Aragocrete and Corn Starch packing material

Has anyone used the corn starch packing peanuts to provide porosity and lighten the weight? Seems they would work well considering they dissolve immediately when run under water?

What you have to be careful with is leaving a opening for them to come out of. I have heard that you can put the aragocrete in an anthill and let the ants eat food out of the rocks....but I think I remember something about cornstarch has been used on anthills and they eat it and carry it back down into the hill and they end up dying. I would probably try something else like rock salt or if you want something smaller grain Y not use aragocrete sand itself?
