My first 0.68 gal PICO/Nano reef!!

This was actually setup a lil' under three weeks ago (3/11/11). Here is what I "had":
"Deco Art Aqua Vase" Red Sea Candy Combo XL; it came with the nano power filter by Red Sea and a 7W (7200K) clamp on.
I added 1/2lb of live sand and 9 pieces of Live rubble rocks equaling to about 1/2lb (I'm guessing..LOL), I used the water, live sand and LR that was given to me by the shop owner to get me setup (I made it about 2hrs before new shipments came in..he was all too happy to get rid it...to me!) My gravity started at 1.028 and I adjusted it to 1.025; it remained steady for about six days then it shot down to 1.016...so I added a cup and a 1/2 of ready made sea water(SG 1.024) which remained so for another 7days.My first 0.68 gal PICO/Nano reef!!-pico2.jpg I also added a Boxer crab and two days after i began to see tiny little white flea-like critters swimming and crawling about the tank walls and rock.My first 0.68 gal PICO/Nano reef!!-imag0196.jpgMy first 0.68 gal PICO/Nano reef!!-imag0195-1.jpg During this time I was also working on a 2.5 gal into a DIY in-tank sump/refugium.My first 0.68 gal PICO/Nano reef!!-imag0211.jpg

Cool little tank. Not sure what your question is, or even if you have one.
One comment though. There is no physical way that your SG could suddenly drop. Salts don't evaporate. If you are using a swingarm/floating type hydrometer, that could be your problem. Those things are very unpredictable and often inaccurate. Get a decient refractometer, like a Sybon, to measure your SG. AS I'm sure you know those little tanks can go south overnight.

All said, cool little tank though. Just a little too much babysitting for me though.
