About LinkBacksI was looking at pumps at HD and realized they were half the price of aquarium pumps and i was wondering if a fountain pump would work just fine in a aquarium or is there a reason they're so much cheaper

No. They are not rated for saltwater for one. And some run oil in them that will get into the tank, not really a good idea.
