Unhappy Sump, refugium & prop tank inside my stand !!! Ideas pls !!

Hi !
Well I am trying to do this, maybe is a crazy Idea, but let me know what do you think.

My tank is 40"long, 20" and 20" and I want to setup a 10 gallons AGA tank as refugium, another 10 gallons AGA tank as prop tank and a cube tank that I already have to use it as sump where I locate the skimmer (Red Sea Berlin with Mag 7 and Kent venturi valve mod. and another Mag 7 as return pump). The size of the cube tank is 19" x 19" and 12" height.

I want to have some free space to put in a near future a Calcium reactor inide the stand.

What suggestions and comments can you give me?

I searched on the web for a lot of sumps designs to get more from the space that I have, but nothing adapts to what I am looking for.

Thanks in advance !

Good luck
Thats alot your trying to stuff in a small space. But I'm sure it can be done
First off you said the "planed" sump is 19" right? do that will take up bout half the space.
I'll try to help you think of something.
Have you tried "LifeReef" they can build you anything and can help design it all. Just tell what the space you have is and what you r tring to do. Cant hurt to try em'

do you already have youre stand?i built"shelves" into mine ,and since i built it tall(39")i have alot of vertical room, and i dont have to hunch over to look in my tank
anyway i was able to fit 2 30"s and a ten under my 48" 120
check it out:pic of my sump/refugium/top-off/plumbing under my stand

see how i have the ten gallon right above the thirty, maybe you could do something similar.hth

On my 90gal I had to do sumthing like wat OR did....I think you are gonna be running into drainback issues when the power goes out even if it can be done....but as far as doing it you just need some glass pieces (baffles) siliconed into the tank then use some eggcrate for your elevated prop area...another problem you would have to deal with is calerpa or other macros competing w/ your frags....it could be done just that there might be more maintenance than you think in it.

Thansk for your replies.
Organicreefer,
Your sump is one of my inspirations to build mine and that is why I decide to put alot of things inside the stand.

The problem there is the space to put a reactor there.

Another ideas?

TIA.
