Thumbs up Very Very NICE Jeff!

You did a SWEET job on that skimmer dude! If you could please keep us updated on how it keeps up....like cleaning, injector clogging, anything you would have done different to help the style of the skimmer. How wide diameter is your clear acrylic tubes? and how tall are each of them?

Great job dude

thanks, scubadude, the first riser is 4 1/2 in o.d. 11 1/2 in tall. second riser is 2 in od and 9 in tall. As far as cleaning the becket , I have a union right above the injector housing, and the piping below is going into a threaded skimmer box.Injector housing is pvc conduit fittings with o rings for seals. Just screws right apart. I can have the becket in my hands in 15 seconds.

Nice! I just made a dual DIY beckett, and Im running it on a Mag Drive 1800 - Im only running it on one of the becketts though, I need to upgrad to a Amp Master 3000 for both to run at Max. I just hook mine up last night, and got foam in 45mins!

Ill post some pics of it!

Hi
I am new to this board, and i would like to make a beckett driven skimmer for my 1 year old reef tank. I have a 10 gallon sump under a 32" tall stand. do you think it's possible to share your skimmer's spec? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Plat
What did you use for a silencer and were you able to control the air flow petty good with a gate valve?

That site needs to be updated!

Here it is finished, I user these 1/2" bale valve to control air flow, and used a piece of sponge in the very end to silence it!
