DIY Dual Beckett!
Here is my second attemp at making a protein skimmer!
This one is 32" tall, and is currenlty running with only one beckett enabled and a Mag Drive 1800 pushing it! It is making foam already, but work probably work better with a bigger pump, and both injectors going! I just hooked it up last night! Here is a DIY page Im working on for it! http://www.bluechunks.net/reef/skimmer2

Holy foam Batman! What size tank are you going to put this one? Are you thinking of using a larger pump like an Ampmaster to power it?
Looks great! Scott Z. |

lol -
I currenlty have it running on a 100 gallon tank using a Mag Drive 1800, and only one of the beckett injectors a on. I is breaking in nice, and is making a a constant flow of foam! Im going to use on a 235 gallon SPS reef, with heavy bio load, along with a amp master 3000 to push both injectors. here a some updated pictures. http://www.bluechunks.net/reef/skimmer2

Hey Platapus,
Can you give me the detail on the plumbing parts, glueing needed, and miscellaneous (air valve) stuff needed for the beckett housing. I am having a hard time how to plumb the beckett to the 3/4" PVC piping. |
