My God....
I have thought of building a tank into the wall and using my garage for a sump, but here in sunny warm Michigan... that would be a huge problem, with heat in the winter.... My wife wouldn't let me keep my cars outside all winter and the Garage isn't quite big enough to build the sump and keep the cars in there.... |

FWIW... You can find much finer sandpaper at an auto parts store 1400, 1600 grit, I've never seen it at Lowes or HD.... and progress from 600 grit or even more coarse if the scratches are deep enough to warrant... also what about using 3M foam polishing pads to carry the compounds??? They work wonders on clearcoat finishes. I'd assume they'd be good on acrylic too and they're available with a hook & loop backing to attach to a disk that will chuck up in a cordless drill (or any drill as far as that goes), the lower speed of the drill should help avoid burning. They work much better than terry cloth bonnets for polishing paint. Hope that helps I've never tried it though.... I have glass tanks...

Dude, awesome work. When you are all done, you are going to have to give us a little run down on the flow and set up. What goes and comes from what, etc.
