Post Glue for acrylic

What glue do you guys use for glueing acrylic together. Also will this glue work on acrylic to pvc? Do any of you use 2 part epoxy?

For gluing acrylic-acrylic, I use nothing but methylene chloride. Its the cleanest IMO, and is easy to work with once you get the hang of it. I sometimes use weld-on #16, but often get too many bubbles for my liking. Its pretty good to use as a sealer. As for PVC to acrylic...I don't know. I have tried the two part epoxies...about 4 different types, including the "plastic fusion" and felt that it lacked the "fusion". The methylene chloride based bonders will literally melt the acrylic together, while the epoxy just glued them.

I got some weld on #3 which is methylene chloride based. PVC cement is Methyl Ethyl Keaton. I think I can use the weldon to accomplish wht I need then epoxy to attach the acrlyic tube to the PVC. I am constructing a calicum reactor

Weld-On #16 works fairly well to bond acrylic and PVC together. Just give it plenty of time to cure.

I may try the PVC cement to join the acrylic to the pvc. None of it will be a critical joint. I will also silicone after I use it. Thanks.
