Here's something to chew on: The German lamps are made by Sylvania, the parent company of which is Siemens, who are fairly notorious for using Jewish slave labor and running their own concentration camps during WWII. So if 55 years isn't too long to hold a grudge about something like that....

I claim Scotland as my ancestorial homeland(Highlands) from a few hundred years ago. My wife is German and we can't watch any German programs on TV with her getting upset about THOSE misdeeds.
Anyway, do the 67k or 10k Japanese bulbs need a break in period to show its true colors?

I think the first four are on the same scale, but the last two are probably magnified on the verticle scale about 5-10-fold. The daylight ones are all 3 phosphors, so that much I believe, and I believe also the lower K ones have more red and yellow and less blue, so that looks ok to me. I'd be surprised to see structure resolved in any of the three peaks, so the blue peak on the first four looks a bit dubious. But then it is gas phase...

Well, I just got the new PC "true actinics" and like Greek Reefer, I think they are too purple and destroy the color balance. I thought they would be the same color as the "actinic blue" PCs I bought from Hamilton about 15 mo. ago. I was wrong. I do however like the 10,000K a lot.

In general I would recommend the "actinic blue" or 7100K PC over the new "true actinics" with an equal number of daylight bulbs, either 6750K or 10,000K.
