Thanks

On the boards, it is known as the SuckClone. Of the hundreds of people who have/are using this, I have maybe seen five or six positive replies.

Most people have to perform major surgery/modifications in order for it to skim anything.

In short, stay away from this product.

HTH,
Mark

Red face

I had a seaclone and hated it. It didnt skim a darn thing, so I decided to try the Red Sea Prizm and am glad that I did. I couldnt believe all the dark nasty skimmate that this little skimmer pulls out of my tank. My tank is a 39 gal reef and the Prizm does a wonderful job, I wouldnt trade it for nothing. HTH

I have a Seaclone skimmer on my wifes tank, bought it used for 35 bucks,Using a dremel, I cut the inner most tube down to 3",cut the collection cup tube down about 1" and drilled 2 extra holes in the top cap.It pulls about 1/4 cup of dark skimmate a day.It gets the job done for her small 30gal.tank.If you plan on going filterless and using just LR and a skimmer to remove waste,I would invest in a nice skimmer, would'nt waste time on a Seaclone...JMHO.

I have one. It works OK, not too great, but it atleast skims. I am going to modify it soon. it should work pretty decent then. If you have the money and a bigger tank, I would get a better one. If you are tight on cash, have a small tank, then it will be okay. my tank has no problems with good growth. when i modify it, i am sure my tank will be better...maybe

if you have the money....buy a berlin. from what I have seen, they kick a$$.

I had a seaclone but I managed to break it while trying to modify it. That gave a good reason to get the new Berlin Turbo. Hope it works better than the Sucklone!

I like my sea clone - It does a great job - Yes it is Underrated....for an over stocked tank.....If you have the correct number of fish/gal & are feeding correctly , it will work great.....

I agree with everyone except one thing: If you have the money buy a turboflotor, now they kick ass.
