Post I reeaaally need fans!!!

I came home from univ. today and my tank was at 87 degrees!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH. Everything was alright, but there was little air bubbles on my leather umbrella coral. Now, what fans do you recommending me getting?

I would like somethign that is reliable and economically cheap....i really don't wanna spend over $25 bucks for a fan....

Regards,
Ilham

Look for the USTF12038 series fan (Toyo) ... there are 4 models I believe. The 76 cfm fan is very quiet I believe it's the 1152T. $17.60 per fan.

Hi Elmo18,
Check out your local Radio Shack. I got a 4'' fan for like $12.00.
I got the 120v one and wired it directly to an old power cord I had. The fan is extremely quiet.

"GOT SUMP" if you do just throw a big fan in your stand blowing right over the sump. I bought one of those 13.00 Honeywell fans from Home depot model # HT-800, I would say its about 8-10". This thing is mounted on the top of my stand blowing right down in the sump.....works great!

Try this site. I ordered the low noise boxer fans. I think Golfish has these fans also and he is pleased with them. I havent got mine up and running yet. http://hosfelt.com/Fans/115vac.htm

Guess what Paul: the boxer fans are no longer available. I had to get another model that wasn't UL listed and did not have the decibal level listed. I'll let you know how they turn out. In fact, a lot of the fans are no longer available. But if these fans work out, they are a great price! I do recommend you buy the fan cords and screens that are available for them. HTH

Elmo:
I just picked up the Honeywell Golfish is talking about for $9.99 at HD. It is pretty good and not noisy, at least not for me, and you can mount it right above your sump.

Paul is correct, I use the low noise fans from Hosfelt in my hood. They put out a lot more CFM than the Radio Shack fans....

The sump fan is a good idea, and there are plenty that use the radioshack fans with success. I use the icecap, but they are more than your looking to spend.
