Afishybusiness,

After reef tanks, freshwater plant tanks are my next favorite aquarium addiction.

A large well aquascaped freshwater plant tank that uses CO2 and metal halide lighting can rival a reef tank in beauty. Throw in some turquoise discus, and wow...

In fact, I am seriously considering setting my 180 back up after the move, as a fresh water plant tank. (I know, treason )

Regards,

Scott

FRESHWATER??!! (get a rope). Just kidding. If it wasn't for freshwater planted tanks I would have never got into reefing myself. It was wondering what was at the "next level" and wanting it that made me go salt. I will not go back for quite awhile, but when I do, I'm sure I will pull out all of the stops. I agree about the planted tank rivaling some of the reef tanks in appearance, but there is just that challenge of making your animals thrive that you (I) can't get from watching a plant thrive. Do you know what I'm saying, or am I just crazy?
