My dads school is setting up a tank in the library, and they wanted me to do it so I'm trying to decide whether a Lake Tanganyika tank with some Altolamprologus or do a malawi tank with the usual peacocks, or to do a community tank with the ever mean hablochromis and some altolamprologus, so what do you think?
this would be for a 55g tank also thanks

Hmmmmm what to put here???
If you are looking for an easy community tank you may want to try south american cichlids. Concicts are easy to raise and care for and readily bred in captivity with a 55 gal or larger tank. It usually takes two or more spawnings to have surviving fry. These cichlids are less aggressive than most except during spawning in which they will guard an area 10" x 10" and lord over their fry for up to two weeks.Originally Posted by Mikeman
