The danios aren't a problem with just about any type of African. I actually have 2 of them in my Malawi tank. They seem to cut down on aggression.
I don't know of any other than angelfish that wouldn't make a quick meal of the guppies or tetra.
Are there any cichlids you can have in a community tank with tetras, danios, swordtails, guppies, other then angelfish, that will breed? I would guess rams, but they are a pretty penny where I live?

I was thinking about either convicts or kribs, but I think borth would reak havoc on my little guppies, hmmm how about another 10g tank with shell dwellers
i would really advise aginst the convicts. Kribs roc though in community tank just be sure to have the same sexes because once spawning begins everyone will be pinned in a corner
