Need advice on my new set up

Dear All,

I need some advice on what type of filtration should I use on my new 300 gallon fresh water aquarium.
I am going to have a 50 gallon sump, and I was thinking to make some Floss in it only, without bio-balls.
What do you guys think on this set-up.Please give me any advice if possible.

Jeff , I am going to put live plants,rocks,woods ecc in it. About fish , I am confused, but I think a school of clown loaches, maybe some catfish,swordtails .........

The setup minus bio balls works well if your gonna keep Plants (live) I would recomend doing the research on lighting and co2 injection. I am by no means an expert but all I can say is do your research. As far as fish go ya Clown Loaches are a good choice and also ya might want to add several large schools of tetras. Just a thought
