I had 2 oscars once....
They died. They never had the chance to spawn either. Although I would have wanted them too.
Anyways,
What they usually do is pair off. This new pair will always be together. usually in the wild, a male will die in a fight, and the female wont have a mate anymore. So this female oscar wont mate with any other male till she is dead.
So once they have paired up, they must be around 4-5 inches before they will begin this process.
When they are ready, they will clear off a flat rock(must be flat, but doesn't have to be a rock). After the female lays her eggs, the male will fertilize them. After hatching, the parents will take care of the fry. Be sure to remove the parents when the fry get about an inch long. At this point the parents will eat their children.
