I got the complete retro kit that comes with that ballast and have had it running for a month now and has been flawless so far.
It does run warmer than a Icecap ballast but that is no big deal.
So far it seams well worth the money and it does come with a 3 year warenty.

We had two of them for a number of months. They are a little warmer than the IceCap, but not much. IMHO, the harness and ballast combo is good bang for the buck...

Unless they have changed designs, they are not compatible with X10 modules. We tried everything under the sun to get them to work with X10 and finally gave up. Incidently, the IceCaps work just fine with all of our X10...

I would call hellolights and see if the ballast would work with T5's.
The endcaps will not work that comes with it.

X10 is a control method that uses modules to turn lights, fans, etc. on and off. You can do some interesting things with the X10 dimmer modules for moon light effects and the such.

You can hit the main website at X10 .
