These light fixtures are not on the market yet. They say about Jan '04.

I have one of these light fixtures that I won at the MACNA show. It's a two foot fixture with one double ended halide and two 24" t-8 Actinics that I put in.

I thought at the show it was a cool looking light and it is. How ever the Manufacturer is ignoring a problem I've notifyed them of. The pin connectors on the florescents are too close together and you have to pry them apart to get the bulbs in. When I called and talked to Tullio, the President of the company, he told me there wasn't a problem in the manufacturing process. Essentially, he made me feel like an idiot and wasn't going to look into changing the tooling or cutting process for such a small problem.

My feeling is, "Hey, I'm an on-line retail outlet. One of your potential customers who could move these lights for you and you don't want to listen to me when I'm making you aware of a defect in the manufacturing process? That's fine with me! The Court of public opinion will not be so accommodating."

So, that's my experience! I'm selling this one unit and won't be handling them until they correct the problem. The possibility exsists that this is a proto-type and the problem has been taken care of. But, that's not what he made me believe.

Amphibious,

Thank you for your reply and a great info. I agree with your feeling about this,in my eye it didn't come accross as a positive PR on theit side
I saw it posted on one site(just the info and a pic) and thought that it looked nice and bright, especially those MACNA pics.
Well, hopefully they change their ways and will correct the problem that you have noticed or...not

I am sorry to hear about your dealings with Tulio. I spent a good amount of time talking with him at MACNA. I pointed out two potential problems one of which was the tube problem. They are built for T10 bulbs and the spacing issue with T12's was pointed out by me. Also I pointed out the integrated controller that needed to have two timers one for actinics and one for halides.

At any rate he did win a PROTOTYPE which in future renditions when it goes to market will be fixed from what I was told. The neat features of these lights will be the quality and PRICING which is going to be substancially under comparable products.

At any length I think I should call my man Tulio and make him more aware of customer service if this is the kind of feedback I see. Not a good way to break into the market.

Hi Chuck,

It's very nice of you to chime in and clear up on this issue. It's not a good way to break into the market for sure and I just hope that it was a misunderstanding of some sort.It did look like a very promissing alternative to Geisman and AB.
