Anyone with PC lights

Is anyone running 260 watts (or less) of PC over LPS corals in a 75g??

The options for me are:

4x65w PC 2 10k & 2 50/50 actinics Custom sealife moonlight fixture.
or
4x110 VHO retrofit kit from hellolights.

Either will be under a canopy (yes I'm aware of the switches on the side of the CSL unit, They'll be on a timer ) and both will allow the future addition of additional PC,VHO or MH (going MH is not an option at this point.)

prices are within a few dollars of each other. I'm Leaning toward the CSL as it has the capability of running only two bulbs at a time (dusk/dawn simulation) and has 4 moonlights and a fan. But want enough light for some low light corals. The addition of a 2x96watt PC brite strip would bring it up to 452w ( at a later date) for less than $150.00

There will be DSB so actual depth will be 15-16inches

Looking for thoughts.....this lighting thing is making me crazy.

Thanks
Mike

Just a personal preference, I would go with the VHO. I had PC and switched to VHO when i got MH. I like the color better without question. Also, the VHO is a very retro fit setup which give you a great deal of flexibility if you ever decide to get MH down the road or what ever other chages you make. Also, the VHO does not need to hold 4 110w vho, but can hold a range of different sized and watt vho. I am not a big fan of the all in one units. They really limit you ability and flexibility, IMO.

I agree with Rook, go with teh VHO for the coloration and the extra light you can provide by adding a 4 - 110w set-up. Both types of light are sufficient for maintaining Soft Corals and Large Polyped Stoney corals but personally, I like VHO better.

Make it 3 I HAD PC, and the actinic is NOT even close to VHO actinic. The Luminesence under VHO is 3 times better then it is under PC!!!
