i have started to build back up my 55 gal tank and i have on there a old strip light and a power compact from my old 30 gal. im goin to make it a reef tank, i have sand at the bottem 1 tang, cleaner shrimp, and a anemone thats huge. i know i need new lighting i was looking at metal halide lights and i also need a canope. im goin to have my neighbor make my canopie but i dont know the specs, could someone tell me the specs he needs to make it and give me some advise on the lighting. please email me at birdhouse_cs@yahoo.com, thanks so much.

measure the length and width including the plastic brace around the top and 12 inches high a couple of fans would be a good idea your probably gonna get some flak fore keeping the anemone with the setup you have good luck

A 55 gallon tank can be many different sizes/shapes. You will have to measure the top, length by width. Make the canopy 12" tall if you want metal halide lights.

She said the anenome was big, must be ok, lets lay off.
