I am not famliar with the standard bulb but I don't think there are any bulbs that are within the spectrums we are looking for that screw in, unless they are metal halides.

You can get screw in bulbs , mostly used in freshwater, that come in different spectrums. They are available at most LFS. With that we should move this topic to its proper forum ,,,,Lighting

There is a light out but cant remember who makes it but it is a spiral CF bulb that is the smartlight setup. Half white and half atenic. I would be more apt to put like a 18 watt retro kit of maybe even a 32 watt retro in it you will prolly get more watts out those that the spiral's. I believe the spirals are sold in white also by lights of america thru Lowes or Home Depot. PetCo carries the smartlights that are spiraled. If you can find them in your area give me a yell I will buy them and ship them to ya for just the cost of the bulbs and shipping
