Have you looked at VHO's? I'm just wondering why they aren't in the choices?

I agree with Scott. You can fit at least 3 if not 4 vho's over a 55.

Of those two options, I believe I would go with the six T-5's. That would give you more possibilities as to what you could keep.

P.S. -- Welcome to Reefland! Jerry Rice fans are always welcome.

I haven't heard to many good things about T-5's come to think of it, I haven't heard any bad either. Last I remember there was a thread over on RC where a user switched to them from VHO and documented the changes. I guess I'm spoiled on VHO though, I had PC's and was dissapointed in the actinic portion. My LPS grew very well and Xenia grew like a weed under them. It was just the appearance to my eye that I did not really like.

I would go with T5's as well. But you do have a large amount of fixtures to choose from

I have the 4-65 Coralife pc. I'm very happy with them. The actnics are not real noticeable after the 10,000k's come on. But it shows your tank as it realy is. Alot of people seem to like a more blue tint to the tank. It just depends on what your looking for. If you like more of the brighter blue you'll want to get VHO.
