Bulb Anemone

how much light would be needed to just keep Bulb Anemone for a 20 gallon tall? right now i got 52 watt of compact lighting

your lighting system is nowhere near enough for any anemone. the rule of thumb for most coral is 3-5 watts per gallon, u have 2.5, so an anemone is out of the question. sure bubble tips are one of the hardier anemone, but it will not last very long if not under MH lights.

anemone live for hundreds of years in the wild, and in your tank maybe 6 months. they will not tolerate poor water conditions which can be dificult in a 20 gallon tank. if this is for a clown just get a hairy mushroom coral or some other low-light coral with "tentacles" or upgrade your lights.

lighting is the most important factor of a reef tank, never skimp on the lighting

I've had a bubble tip for a couple of years under VHO. It has done very well. It has split a few times. Great growth and color. It was a captive bred one I purchased from my LFS which I'm sure helps.
