Actinic........Super Actinic ??

What's the difference between these two ??
Actinic........Super Actinic

I will be running dual 250w mh over my 75 and will be supplementing with 2- 48" URI 40w bulbs.....what bulbs should I use?

I was also thinking about adding a blue rope light from HD for a moon affect. Opinions on this?

URI offers the following options: Super Actinic R, Actinic White and Aquasun. Choose the Super Actinic R. All of those are marketing brands.

Super Actinic R = actinic

Actinic White = 12,000K (supposedly)

Aquasun = 10,000K (according to URI)

Just remember that those Kelvin color temps were much, much lower a few years ago before marketing decided to add a few thousand to each. There was no change in the lamps at all other than new Kelvin ratings.

That doesn't mean they aren't good. I think they're the best out there. It just means that the names and the Kelvin ratings are subject to revision by the sales department at any time if they think it will boost sales.
