What sort of increase in my electric bill will i see if i run a 250W HQI on a PFO ballast? i run close to 400W of PC's now that will not be running anymore? will my bill be about the same or higher??

Well I don't know of any calculations, but I would say it should be very close; especially if you are going to remove all the PC's and just go with the 250w halides.

Unless I'm way off keel here, I think it will go down. As far as the electric company is concerned 400W is 400W and 250W is 250W. They don't care if it is MH or flourescent. Watt is a measure of energy, NOT light output, so the 250W halide uses less juice then 400W flourescent!

Depending on your electric rates, one 250 watt MH might run between $9-$11 per month.
