MH w/built in ballast
ok, heres the deal. i went to work to pick up my loot, and my boss had the cpr bak-pak and the MH fixture for me to pick up. this MH is a 250w, with a built in ballast. i figure i'll probly use it later on down the road, but it will be good to have when that time comes. whats your opinion on this thing? i'll attach some pics. there is a pic of the cpr soaking in the tub too.
leddy its pretty shabby looking, but i'll clean it up and add a new reflector when its ready for use. gonna go get a new maxi-jet12 for the skimmer aswell. Last edited by Leddy; 01-28-2006 at 12:17 AM. |

i'm guessing the ballast inside is a magnetic one, i'm not too sure. but what i was thinking of doing is either a 29gal, 30cube, or 30 hex. this is gonna be a while down the road, but as long as i have a basic light fixture, its less i'll have to get when i'm ready to start the project. it doesnt look like the best thing, but my boss said he sustained many different corals; sps, lps, softies, etc.; in his 40 gal reef for years with 2 of these 250w. let me know what you think of this thing, wether its worth it or not, cause i still havent given him money for it yet. thanks
