Hey Rp!

The electronic ballast is lighter, runs cooler and more effecient; albeit more expensive usually. I would pick up a 150w DE MH for your 20 gallon tank. The bulbs easily last 12 months, some people will run them 18.

Sure thing:

First

second (many options here)

Third

These are all from Ocean Encounter. You may want to call them depending on what you want for a "bulb holder and reflector" Maybe you will just need a bare reflector, maybe you need the fancy pendant I linked to. It just depends on your plans and BUDGET!! (That part always seems to blow my plans!!)

with the second option PFO Mini 150watt HQI Pendent isn't it the same price as 250watt HQI Pendent? what the different and why are the price the same? Would a 250 be ok or should i go with the 150 this will support my claims right and would it support any other lifestock maybe an anemone? so i'm thinking about this, what bulb would your recommand? i also have 4x13 watt retro kit and have 50/50 white and acitic. should i use them too?

do you have any recommandation from hellolights.com?

The pendents linked there will work for 150 and 250w DE bulbs. The difference in cost will come with the ballast and there may not be that big of a difference there. As far as bulbs, there are many, many options available here. I like the look of the AB 10k's and the Ushio 10k's; however if you want more blue, you may look at some of the 20k's.

I think a 150w double-ended system would be better. They are a few less watts but the PAR is significantly more than with a 175w mogule system like the one you linked. Now I am not saying that this system would be a bad choice however the 150w DE would be a better choice.

right now i'm not planning to keep any SPS or any coral. but thinking about a BTA do your think this lighting will be ok? http://hellolights.com/17methalbalk.html
i want a retro kit because it much cheaper for me.
But if i see any sign that the BTA don't want to be in the 220 gallon tall then i will put it in my 138 gallon tank.

and i just saw this what your think?
http://oceanencounter.com/Merchant2/...egory_Code=AMO
should i go with the 150 or 250?
what would your pick?
