What brand is the 10K? I need to replace a real old 20K and I am looking for some thing more "white".

I wish they made a 11000k.....the 10k looks too yellow and the 12k looks too blue. Well, I like my 6500k Iwasakis, a little yellow, but hasn't burnt in yet. I'm building my hood tomorrow.

Regards,
Ilham

it seems most people think that the 12k is bluer than a 20k. i had a 20k along time ago and it never seemed this blue.

I use a Ushio 10k over my 58 gallon and it is a nice white color.

They kinda do make a 11000k bulb, it is the Blueline 10K bulb, it is bluer then the 10k but not as bad as the 12k.

Actually, the BEST bulb I have EVER seen is a 14K bulb made in bulgaria, i don't know the brand, i got it used from my dad (electritian) who got it who knows where. It was the purdiest bulb I have ever seen, just a touch bluer then most 10k's but not as nasty washed out blue as the 10K's.
