i decided

i'm goin with the Aqua Medic (HQI)250 or 150 watt Ocean Lights. what should i pick for my 20 gallon tall. i might upgrade my thank in the future so what your recommand. 150 or 250?

i don't mean pexia glass box just the shield and wood on three side.
this will be over this

there be no open space on tope of the tank so what your think?

I'm still not clear on what your describing with the plexi glass.

As far as your fan configuration goes, if the canopy will be totally enclosed this is fine.

hahahah i look at that site too. just the way the picture is taking can be misleading. plexi glass would be dividing the water from the pendent. will there be alot of heat between the plexi glass and the water ?

As mentioned, I would not cover the tank with any plexi glass. It can reduce eveaporation (we like evaporation for a couple of reasons) and can restrict the oxygen/gas exchange. Don't think that the plexi glass will reduce heat by separating the MH from the tank surface.

do your think that 6 inch between the surface line to the 250 mh to liitler or would it be ok with two fan?

My Bulbs are 7" above the water and I don't see any heat issues, but my tank is a 135... And I have no TOPS either

my is a 20 gallon tall so maybe there will be problem with the heat
but i wil try it and see if it will be ok.

heres that ebay auction for the aqua medic, and the picture now is showing a silver aquamedic fixture, i think you can get this fixture in either silver or black right? or does it only come in silveR?

what your think about this set up. i will put the fan on the side of the wall about 4 inch of the edge. and drill lots of hole for the fan intake and outtake of air. do you think the fan is to close to the surface of the water? do you think the fan is too big? on my top i will cut open to fit the mh.
