Thumbs up Interesting new Iwasaki bulb....

A 150watt and a 175watt 50k spectrum bulb! Cool! It is under testing now and apparently is not available for purchase yet. Check it out here:

Thumbs up

That is probably the most outstanding spectrum I have ever seen over a tank...For me, that is just the right mix of color and clarity.

Skipper,
The 50K bulb is currently only available in the 150w flavor - and that's just being tested as we speak. I think you mistook the ad that says that the quick interchange system would accept 150w and 175w ballasts. In any event, Dana Riddle is currently doing some testing of the bulbs but the initial results didn't knock me out of the water but is a step in the right direction.

Naser,
I'm sure that Iwasaki will come out with the other sizes (250w, 400w) once they work out the bugs with the 150w. It sucks to have to wait!

Naser,

No problem - we're having our monthly meeting tonight at 7:30 over at my place so you're welcome to come if you can make it otherwise I don't expect to have any after the evening is over.
