I would say you need more lighting than 2-65 watt pc's. I have a 75 gallon and I have 2-250 watt Iwasaki's and 2-40 watt NO actinics. HTH

GF,
I think your post should read "Is this enough" rather than "Is this too much" - your current lighting, even with the addition of the 2-96w bulbs will still be on the low side for most reef tanks. I have had two-90 gal tanks and one contained 3-250wMHs with 2-40w actinics while the other had 2-175w MHs with 4-110w actinics. I combined these into my current 300 gal that has 4-400w MHs and 4-160w actinics and I'm looking at upgrading that tank. Obviously, what you plan to keep will determine the lighting that you need but right now, you are limiting yourself to non-light hungry corals. I have a 30G reef w/ 1 250W 6500K MH, 1 400w 6500K MH, and 2 55w actinic PCs.
2 96 w PCs over a 90G isn't enough. The usable spectrum the bulbs create will be lost at those depths. |
