I will be buying a new house this fall and will be moving my 92gal corner reef into at least a 180gal. I currently have 1 400w Iwasaki w/ PFO ballast over this tank.
How do you think a 180gal will look with the 400w in the center and 2 250w on each end? I want the 250's to save on my electric bill and so I can have lower light corals on the sides. I also plan on using PC for actinic lighting. What ballast should I get for this? How many 96watt bulbs do you think I will need? ------------------ -BigLar |

As long as you are talking about a 6 foot tank you MH idea should be okay. For your PCs if they are going to all be on the same circuit you could use an Icecap 660 ballast and it will power up to 4 96 watt bulbs. You can find the wiring digrams for this at www.icecapinc.com. Good luck, Skip

If you want to save on your electric bill I would recommend the Aquaspacelight 3x250 watt HQI + 4x24 Watt Blue PC setup. The system rocks and it puts out tons of light.
