Are your XM 20K bulbs single-ended or double-ended? The IceCap ballast is not a good choice for the double-ended bulbs, but should work Ok with the single-ended bulbs.

7 ballasts are tested with the XM20K. Pick which one you like best.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. ;)
Ballasts can have a slight difference, Mag ballast tend to look a little yellow compaired side by side with electronics. Also water quality can play a big role in making the lamp look too yellow.
