Looking for info on PFO Mini Pendant 250W..

anyone use the 20000K bulb? If so, how intense is this light and how blue is it? Is it too blue for your taste, etc. What has been your experience with this fixture in general? I'm looking for a lighting solution for a 25 gal high SPS tank that doesn't need actinic supplementation. Does anyone have pics of their system with this fixture, either with the 10000K or 20000K bulb? Any help would be appreciated!

Here are some comparison shots that I took when I switched from 10k to 20k double-ended bulbs a few weeks ago. When running 20k, there is a loss of PAR versus 10k's.

That's a helpful thread. Interesting, your going with a bare bottom. I'm planning on doing the same thing when I switch over my tank to acros, I'm using a hang-on EcoSystem mudfilter. EcoSystem recommends a bare bottom and siphoning it every week or two.

That is just one of the ways to do things.

Actually I am a beleiver that a DSB is more effecient however this is the route I chose in order to beef up the current in the system. It is definitely more maintenance intensive.
