i have a 125 gal, and i just want to know how far from the tank due i hang the light? anybody help on the distance, thxs is 5 inchs ok ?

The metal halide should be between 7" and 11" above the water suface in order to prevent overheating and to give you plenty of light spread, the VHO will be fine at this height if they are all in a hood but optimally, 3"-5".
