Hey Mark,
The first pictures look nice if you ask me and wow, what a difference with the halides! Where did you happen to get that slimer at? Is it yellow or green? |

I am really loving the new lights but I am really anxious to get the fixture to 8'' or so (I will refrain..dont worry) The light splash into the rest of the house is overwhelming..hehI got the slimer at my LFS. I have a buddy there and he puts the good stuff aside for me to get first dibs on. It was green under their 175w 6500k (I think) but sure enough..It turned bright yellow under mine. A whole new world has just opened up for me ![]() Mark |

When that beauty grows a bit and you snip a branch, be sure to put us in line as Michelle has her eyes out for a bright yellow Acropora sp.

No rush at all Mark, whenever you decide you would like to give it a snip just drop us a line.

Mark,
My fixture is 11" above the water, my tank is 27.5" tall and it sits on a 36" high stand. Therefore the bottom of my fixture is well above eye level. Since my desk is only 4' to the left of my tank, I was unable to view my computer screen when the halides were on. I had to mount a black acrylic shield around the top of the tank to block the light spill from the fixture.

Aquascaping
Here's a recent pic of my 60g reef. I Aquascaped it a bit different...I wanted the water movement to have more flow. The MH and VHO's can now be distributed better in my reef. Everthing seems to be happy.
Thanks Holly |
