Yet another metal halide question
This may be a stupid question, but I am new to the Metal Halides and I am not an electrician..... received my metal halide retro kit today and it came with 2 175 watt ballasts, but the bulbs they sent were Ushio 250 watt 10000K bulbs.....what is going to happen if I use these 250 watt bulbs with a 175 watt ballast?

They are not going to fire. You need to make sure that the bulb wattage is exactly the same as the ballast wattage.

Well they may have, but you have 250w bulbs only getting 175w of power, not good on the bulbs. I would remove them and contact the vendor to get replacements shipped immediately.
