Sounds about as natural as humanly possible.;)
There is debate about the moonlights being on all night. On the reefs at night it's very hard to make out shapes much less colors in the moonlight so the ones sold may be in fact too bright.
Was trying to set up a light schedule for my tank... sort of a full day light scheme and was wondering if this will work.... or would something better work.
In my tank i have a Blue Acintic Power Compact, a 10,000 K daylight power compact, a 250W MH, and some moon lights. This is what i was thinking
8:00 am - Blue Acintic = on
8:15 am - Monnlihgt = OFF
10:00 am - daylight = on
12:00 pm - MH = ON
4:00 pm - MH = OFF
6:00 pm - Daylight = OFF
7:45 pm - Moonlights = ON
8:00 pm - Blue acintic = OFF
I have the moonlights set like that so there wouldnt be a dark tank then the blue all of a sudden kicking on. I know here at work we stage the lights that way on our huge reef tank to prevent the fish from getting stressed.
Let me know what you guys think.

The only thing you might need to change is the period your MH is on and this would really depend on the corals you have. If you are keeping stony corals that require more intense light, you might consider adjusting your MH to be on for 6 or 7 hours.![]()
No im not the owner. I am one of the Life support guys, basically i work with the Building Automation System to keep everything running perfectly.
