PFO Quick connect

I just received my new PFO 400w MH ballast, I am upgrading from another ballast that does not use the same type of connector to connect the sockets to the ballast, my current uses a plug. My question is can I cut my existing plug and connect the PFO connector the the wiring going to the sockets?

Sure, as long as you keep black to black, white to white and green to green.
