Hey all,

I am continuing the progression of my tank and am ready for my MH's and ballasts. I have decided that I'm going with the CoralVue 250w bulb. Based on JB_NY's post comparing bulbs and ballasts, I think I want to go with the IceCap ballasts.

I have the PFO Acrolight fixture http://www.innovativelights.com/fixt...xtures_12.html
it has a remote ballast harness. However, everywhere I see the IceCap ballast it looks like its just a ballast with wires...no connectors or adapters.


Here's my question:

Are MH adapters universal and I could plug this ballast directly into my fixtures harness? Or is there an adapter I can purchase to wire this up? I could simply purchase the PFO HQI ballast that has the other end of the harness on it but according to the tests, it burns a lot more energy than the IceCaps (meaning higher energy bill). I really don't want to modify (read cutoff) my nice, neat, harness to wire and solder this ballast. Any help or info would be appreciated. Thanks.
