Call a local electric supply house and tell them you want to power 55w HO bulbs and they can tell you what to use. I use a advance RELK-2S-110 for my (2)96w pc's. This is a electronic ballast (suto) and costs around 40.00. The 55w version will be similar numbered I would imagine.

Paul,
Would that ballast work to power 2 - 110W 48" VHO tubes? I think it should be was wanting to check. Thanks, Nathan |

Nathan, no it will not. They are VHO's and pc's are considered HO's. The ballast to power VHO's are more expensive, around 60 if I remeber correctly.
Here is Advances web site and their e-catalog. http://www.advancetransformer.com/ecatalog/ I think the ballast number is RC-2S200-TP , which powers (2)VHO 96" t12 bulbs (110w)
