"Ballast Box and Socket
Cool Touch Lighting

Aluminum Extruded Heat Dissipation Box

This box was engineered to withstand, and dissipate the heat that is produced by the use of the entire range of HID Ballasts.

All Aluminum construction made with T6061 Aluminum.

The aluminum fin height is a whopping 1/2", allowing for extreme temperature dissipation. Compare that to other aluminum boxes sold which only provide 1/4" fin height.

Built into the design of this box is legs and feet that keep the entire enclosure, elevated, to ensure unit stability and safety.

All Cool Touch Lighting Ballast Boxes are equipped with quick connect sockets and on/off switches to allow fast relocation and easy installation.

As well, included in all Cool Touch Lighting Ballast Boxes is a unique top track to allow for racking capabilities and handle bracket accessories (accessories not included).

All boxes are factory wired for common household voltage of 120 volts, but most ballasts used are capable of multi-tap voltages. If requested, the ballast box can be rewired to accommodate such a request.

Metal Halide
High Pressure Sodium"

Never used them, but found a little info for ya.

Welcome to Reefland, enjoy your stay
The info came from aquarium light.com

i have a 26 bow. i want halides so i can keep my options open for anything. i also have a 75 that will be set up eventually. the nice thing about the cool touch ballists is i can run one 250 on the 26 but the ballist is set up for 2 250s so when i set up the 75 i wont have to purchase more light set ups. i also have an ice cap 3 vhos for that i would use for the 75. i need a new wire and end cap setup for that ballist anyone know a good place to get that.

Check out our Sponsors here, Marine Depot and Premium Aquatics are 2 that come to mind that would have this available.

I would almost think that you would want to run 2 MH on that 75. It is probably a 4' tank isn't it?

I think I must have misunderstood you, sorry bout that Are you gonna have your ballast inside the stand? I run the PFO dual ballasts, but I don't have them in the stand. In the summer time, I just turn a fan on them!

The project has changed a little I was going to run this ballist on a 26 I have until I finished my basement in my new house, but now it looks like i will be seting up a 55. I have an icecap ballist but I need a new wireing setup for it. I havnt been able to find a website that supplies only the wiring setup do you know of any? the 55 will focus more on fish but I would like to keep some softies so the the vho should work out.

Thanks Charlie

You need to make sure you get the right wiring harness for your specific ballast (i.e. 430 or 660). I just check out one of our sponsors and they have it available:
http://www.marinedepot.com/aquarium_...nts.asp?CartId=

You could also check with Premium Aquatics, Reef Tank Lighting, Reef Splendor or any other of our sponsors; most of them will carry it. Look in their lighting categories under DIY parts, Replacement Parts or Components.
