Paint -vs- reflector
Ok people I just picked up another 2-96 watt p/c retro kit but this time without the reflector. My question is if I take the reflector off the other one and just paint the top of the canopy High Gloss White with a white Base Coat how will that turn out as far as performance and heat. Even before I added the extra lights my canopy would be warm to the touch with the reflector on it. Thinking of adding a small cooling fan to help blow off the heat.

I think you'd be alright with the paint. I would add at least 2 4" fans, 1 on each end, 1 blowing in and 1 blowing out. I do believe that icecap makes a pretty good 4" fan, check our sponsors,(marine depot, premium aquatics, etc. for more info on them.

Well I thinking of using two 2" or 2 3" fans on either side

I think the white will work fine too... It will give a more "diffuse" reflection, but over a broader area. The silver/chrome will reflect more, but it is much more directional as well.
