    Lighting and algae...

I recently upgraded my lighting from a single 55w bulb to a dual 65w set up. I noticed today that I have a little spot of brown algae on my sand. Is this due to the change in light? My tank has been running for about 9 months. All parameters are in check. Anyones help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Brian

Brian, that is entirely possible. try cutting back on the photoperiod for awhile until everything has had a chance to adjust. HTH.
